Saung Angklung Udjo : Nature And Culture in Harmony - Bandung, West Java

Saung Angklung Udjo founded in 1967 by Mang Udjo and his wife, Uum Sumiati Udjo. This is where art music Angklung preserved. Udjo name itself is taken from the name of the founder and owner of this place. Hermitage establishment is also not out of the help and encouragement of Mr.

Angklung is a kind of musical instrument made of bamboo which has a distinctive sound and rhythm. Angklung is a combination of several instruments that consist of bamboo pipes with different sizes and placed in a small frame and shaken to remove noise.

In addition to the place which is very typical with round bamboo ornaments, this place is also surrounded by houses. Saung Angklung Mang Udjo offers tourist attraction with displays and demonstrations angklung performances of various other Sundanese arts performed by a group of local children.
